7 All Natural French Brands You Should Know About

I had the pleasure to be invited to an event hosted by Pharmacie Monge, where I got to meet some of the founders of 7 natural French brands. Each brand offered me a product to test out, and to write a review on! This post isn’t sponsored, I was gifted these items and will be giving my honest opinion.

I want to talk a little bit about each brand before I get into the products they gave me.

All Tigers

All Tigers is a makeup and nail polish brand started by Alexis Robillard. Alexis explained to me that he wanted to create a natural, eco friendly, vegan, cruelty free makeup line. Their products range from 82%-100% all natural. He explained to me to be all natural you wouldn’t use synthetic colors, but instead use the blood of thousands of bugs to get the right color reds. So instead, they use synthetic coloring, so that their line can be 100% cruelty free!

Ouate

Ouate is a children’s skincare line started by Astrid Maudit. Astrid explained to me that she had been working with children for a very long time, and wanted to create a line to help encourage children to take care of their skin starting from a young age. You’re given a little skincare book where children explain how they use the products to other children, which is totally adorable.

Monsieur Barbier

Monsieur Barbier is a shaving company started by Julien, Pietro, Maxime, Ganaël. They wanted to create a shaving line that has excellent ingredients at an affordable price. Their products are 100% vegan and cruelty free, they have a razor subscription plan on their website and have tons of amazing products targeted towards men!

Seventy-One

Seventy-One is a SPF cosmetic brand started by two surfers, Raphaël Vannier and Marc Levy. Raphaël explained to me that they wanted to create a line that was Eco friendly, kind to the ocean, and also good for the skin.

Exertier

Exertier is a luxury skincare line from the Alps. They farm and grow their ingredients, their two main ingredients being an orchid line and a honey line. Julie Exertier wanted to create a clean cosmetic line that didn’t use superfluous ingredients, or essential oils that irritate the skin.

Les Petits Prödiges

Les Petits Prödiges is a 100% all natural cosmetics line started by friends Camille and Clementine. Their objective for their line is back to basics, using only 7 ingredients in their balms. Their line is 100% all natural, vegan, cruelty-free, Eco friendly, made in France,

Cut by Fred

Cut by Fred is a hair care line started by Frederic Birault. They only have 2 products, a shampoo stick and a wave spray! Their products are 100% natural using mostly organic ingredients and are made in France

Now for the reviews…

All Tigers

This product is really similar shape and style to the Kylie lip kit, I was given the color 888, and it’s very bright and beautiful. The product is a matte finish, however since it’s doesn’t have all those chemicals in it, it does transfer even after it dries. Personally, I don’t like matte long-wear lipsticks/lipglosses just because I don’t like having dry lips. My lips are EXTREMELY dry, and I constantly apply chapstick. This is a really fantastic line if you’re looking for something more natural thou! It’s very long-wear, so you’re gonna need a good makeup remover to get the bright colors off! I used an oil makeup remover, and it came off very quick.

Ouate

I was given the micellar water, it’s for sensitive skin(which I have). This is formulated for children however, so it hasn’t really done anything remarkable for my skin. It’s not meant for adults, it’s for the babes. However, I’m passionate about skincare, and when I met Astrid I thought to myself, wow if I had children, I would really want them to use this line.

Monsieur Barbier

This product line is geared towards the men, so I gave this shampoo to my husband, he said that he likes it; sorry that he’s not more descriptive! It smells wonderful, and it has vitamin b12 in it, which is supposed to help for people who are losing their hair!

Seventy-One

This was the brand I was most excited about, I’m SO passionate about sunscreen, especially using products that don’t contribute to the bleaching of coral reef. Sadly, I was given the stick sunscreen in the black color, and I am unbelievably pale(probably all the sunscreen I use everyday) and no matter the amount of rubbing this product leaves a black color on my skin and looks very strange. Plus, I’m not trying to irritate the crap out of my skin trying to rub this in, I’ve tried and it just doesn’t work for me. I’m kind of confused by the stick spf in different colors, not sure what the point or niche market is. I would’ve LOVED to try the same stick but colorless for my face, or one of the sunscreen oils! These products are at such an affordable price point, I will definitely pick up another one of their products.

Exertier

I was given a couple of mini travel sizes, so they weren’t big enough for me to see any real results. I love how the serum feel on my skin, I haven’t noticed a big change to my skin after using these, but I would really need a full size and to try it for a month to really see the results. However, these guys not only feel heavenly on the skin but they smell amazing. I’m not rich AF right now to the point I can drop 150€ on one skincare product, but if I was I would buy this line in a heartbeat.

Les Petits Prödiges

This was another brand I was really interested in because they make all natural deodorant. I cant tell you how many people I know that are always looking for a deodorant that works, so I would’ve loved to try this product. However, I got the lemon balm, I’ve never been a big lotion person, my skin is SO dry and really nothing ever seems to help it, so I’ve given up. But this balm is pretty great, I’ve been using it as a cuticle lotion and my nails have never looked so good!

Cut by Fred

This product is the one that surprised me the most. The representative was telling me that it’s sulfate free, paraben free, ya know all the ‘bad stuff’ free and I wasn’t convinced that it would work. As a hairstylist, I’ve seen SO many products that are paraben-free, sulfate-free and they’re just plain awful or just don’t really work well. But WOW, this shampoo really blew me away. It still suds up, my hair feels very soft afterwords, my hair has been looking way less greasy and not having to use as much dry shampoo. AND you can buy the replacement pods that fit into the packaging once you’ve run out, and they only cost 12euros. Since it’s solid, you can bring it on the plane with you! I’m so excited to continue using this. Below is a photo of my hair that I had not washed in 4 DAYS, FOUR DAYS! My hair doesn’t get greasy at all like it used to, it’s a miracle product!

I hope you guys learned about a new line and that I’ve peaked your curiosity to try something more natural! I genuinely liked all of these lines, I’m so happy that I got to meet some of the founders, and I cannot wait to go buy some of their other products to test out as well!
